Ski-Boat Section Round Robin 2012 – Round 2
The scheduled dates were either the 26th or 27th May but due expected poor weather on Saturday it was decided for Sunday.
What a great decision it was as Sundays weather was absolutely perfect and 24 anglers took part fishing off seven boats. The weather being sunny and windless allowed boats to go as far as Bird Island where some good Yellowtail were boated.
Carl Lee on boat Undercover said he got terribly frustrated at the island as he put it the ” tail ” were boiling on the surface but would not bite. However they managed to bag some good ones eventually off the bottom. Stoffel Schultz on boat Sliver also at the island managed to bag a bomber of 12.5 kg. -p- Well done Stoffel.
The late afternoon and evening was warm and windless allowing the prizegiving and braai to take place outside at the Lapa and how nice it was to see all the competitors attending and swapping stories.
This augurs well for the effort at section building that the new committee will be encouraging.
