The first round of the annual PARSC Rock and Surf GM Kenrich Round Robin Competition was held at Kasouga from Cape St.Blaize to Kariega rocks on Saturday 25th January. Conditions were good to start with a calm sea and clean warm water but an enormous amount of seaweed covered the entire area making fishing quiet tricky. The weather changed and the sea became choppy and the wind was more than a gentle breeze. Never the less ten teams of 4 fished the competition, together with a number of individual anglers. Overall 59.3kg of edible fish consisting of 10 different species with 38 as total were caught of which 100 % were successfully released.
