PARSC Annual Golf Classic.

This annual fun event was held on the 17th June and once again proved to be a day of fun, laughter and friendship.

The day could not have been better, almost windless with glorious winter sunshine and how great it was to play a round of golf among the tortoises, bushbuck, impala and fallow deer. 14 four balls took part and apart from the field being held up by the group consisting of Mike Hockin, Karel de Jaeger, Jules van den Hoogen and Johan Botha the day proceeded smoothly. Once play was completed all departed for the Skiboat Club where drinks were had while watching a video of the players in action thanks to the kind services of  Eric van Niekerk who did the videoing. Even the

Pros could not have played some of the shots we saw.

A braai and prizegiving followed with the fourball of Doggy Wright, his wife, Simon du Plessis and his wife taking the honours.

Truly a camaraderie building day.

Curry and Rice Evening with Lamy ( comedian )

This was held on the 30th June and due to clashing with numerous other events was not full but a great crowd of 70 people attended.

Lamy one of SAs leading comedians proceeded to entertain the people for over 2 hours and was greeted with great enthusiasm by all.

All thanks to Neville Williamson for arranging for Lamy, compering the evening and the patrons for their support.

2012 / 2013 Club Subscriptions.

We are once again fast approaching that time when these become payble again and that date is the beginning of October.

The committee will take a decision on the new subs at their meeting this month and a small increase is on the cards but rebates for timeous payments is also on the cards. Subscriptions are one of the backbones of a club so my early appeal to you all is that when you are invoiced  you pay as soon as possible to qualify for the rebate.

Invoices will be sent out electronically but members without e-mail addresses will be billed through the post.

Well that’s about all for and we look forward to your support whenever possible.

Keep warm this winter until my next communication.

Kind Regarrds
